Traffic Section cracking down on ear-itating noise violators

West Shore

2022-05-24 07:30 PDT

The West Shore RCMP receives many complaints from our local municipalities reporting loud vehicles and motorcycles on our streets.

This week, our Traffic Section will be out in the Western Communities enforcing Motor Vehicle Act/Regulations, with an extra ear out for noise violators.

We will be out looking for vehicles with defective or modified exhaust systems which increase the noise that a vehicle produces, says Corporal Mike Jacobson with the West Shore RCMP Traffic Section.

What are the fines and violations?

If you have any questions about the level of noise on your vehicle, please contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 and ask to speak with an officer in the Traffic Section.
